Default Please add Merchant NPC's in GWEN explorable areas and dungeons

Ok, after the preview, I'm really looking forward to GWEN. It seems like fun. But Guru seems to be about what you don't like more than what you do , so ...

PLEASE! Pretty please! ANet, add merchants to the explorable areas in GWEN? Or let us sell stuff to the Norns at the shrines or the collectors or something?

Having a way to clear inventory w/out starting over from town or throwing stuff away was so great in Factions and NF.

The 5-level Frostmaw dungeon was the worst. Even on a team of 8, going in there with more than 40 empty slots we ran out of room to keep our drops.

Please put merchant npcs in the explorable areas and dungeons?

Thanks,
Luny

I apologize if this has already been brought up. I looked through the first 8 or so pages of this forum and didn't see it. Was too busy playing this weekend to see if it was mentioned earlier.

great suggestion. With no more storage, and LOTS of more things in our inventory (new gold scrolls, the boxing things, map pieces, etc), it doesn't leave us with much leeway.

I got tired of running out of room and making a decision what to salvage
what to "exchange" and what to leave on the ground.
Wish there was more things that stacked.
maybe cause it was a preview these npc weren't in the areas
just have to wait and see the full game and "tweaks"
EVEN better still another 10 bag slot? but you have to earn it as a reward
dunno how hard that would be to implement not a programer.

"Rune of greater holding" FTW!

Seriously, this would be awesome. I mean, how much would everyone love Anet if they just allowed us to increase our character's storage? I'm betting they'd get another basket of goodies from the fans for it.

A "Rune of greater holding" would make me fscking ecstatic, and yes, merchants everywhere would be awesome.

I did notice one dwarf merchant outside the battledepths (non-eye of the north side)

But i agree, with all the new items and the fact that i usually carry most of the golds im selling on the forum with me, incase someone pms me with an offer, it would be very useful to have merchants spread out across the land. I dont think it could unbalance the game in any way.

The way you gain Norn faction points encourage players to stay in one explorable area and clean it out for beasts, so yes, a merchant would be very handy.

Never noticed the problem that much, except the one time I got slightly over halfway through darkrime before getting kicked off and having to start again and forgetting to empty inventory, but it makes sense if people are vanquishing an area, or have lots of stuff to hold

Actually I seem to remember running into quite a few merchants while clearing normal explorable areas. You just have to find them.

I agree though that merchants in dungeons would be veeerryyy nice. And runes on sup holding .

I'm not usually one to complain about the storage, but I do agree with this. GW:EN did seem to be making us carry around a lot of stuff, plus I was holding onto a lot of the collectors items in the chance they may have been used for something. By the time I got half way through some of the dungeons, I was having to drop a lot of suff because I just didn't have room.

I totally agree, i have completelly no idea why is there no option to extend our storage/bags space somehow, even if the price for that extra bit was significantly greater than normal holding rune.
Is rly creating mule chars what anet encourages us to do? :|

My first comment is that they probably will, and my other is that not all instances in prophercies, factions and NF have merchants in them either. Its actually only a very small % that do from my experience.

I think its a good idea, but this is the kind of thing they should consider changing around the board.

We need more merchants in instance anyway or the ability to sell to collectors. Your inventory does get full very fast and if Anet wont increase bag sizes then we need a way to sell stuff during the instance.

My poor old storage has about 6 slots left, which means I have to carry different armour and weapon sets with me constantly

In every single dungeon I ran out of inventory space - any extra storage/inventory space would be greatly appreciated

i dont think they should be in dungens most dungens i would have enough space for one run if i only picked up golds and purples nothing else. but i did like going on once then getting quest reward and getting mapped out from timer then going stright back in seemed likei would get better drops each run more golds out of locked chests and the ending chest seemed better! so if anything add them right out side of the dungen or add one half way through!

Frankly I for one couldn't give a rats ass about Bots...I dont care if a town is full ot the lil' critters. The only bot-related thing that really annoys me is when people on this forum time and time again tell us there are bots in Altrumm Ruins, Bergen Hot Springs and the like when WE ALREADY KNOW. I don't care if bots could make more gold from there being a merchant in an explorable area but the points that have been made are bang on...we're being given lots of potentially useful quest rewards and nowhere to put them. Merchants would help to get rid of some of the junk we acquire whilst playing through explorable areas, and don't really want to leave behind.

Actually, you're wrong. Bots rely on killing the same mobs over and over again - since there is no longer a farming code. The only way they can do this is by rezoning each time. Unless they are using a farm spot that is directly on either side of a zone where there is no outpost, they will be going into a town/outpost to respawn the monsters, and they might as well use those merchants.

To stop any abuse of zoning back and forth where there is no outpost, just don't put any merchants near there and problem solved.

There are some areas with merchants... and some witout them...

But almost ALL areas have collectors.
Solution? Give sell an buy tags to collectors.

I had another Idea that could also hep:
